What does it look like to be a Christian? Many people associate the Christian faith with rituals, robes and irrelevance. But Jesus rejected empty religion. He had no time for superficial spirituality. He called the religious leaders of his day ‘white-washed tombs’: righteous on the outside but dead where it counted.
 
Instead, Jesus taught his disciples to follow him. He told them to ditch dead religion and embrace authentic faith. And then he showed them what that looked like by the way he lived and the way he died.
