Jemma Finnimore - a member of our church family - has written this Remembrance Day poem which will be featured in our online Remembrance Day Service at 10.30am. Why not join us?
On the second Sunday in November, It's a chance for us to sit and remember, Those who fought and died in war, So our country could be secure. We wear a poppy, do parades outside, Have a two minute silence, keep our voices inside. Thank you God for those we will never forget, A lot of those people we will will never have met. But we think of how thankful we can be, That wars were won - we had victory! But nothing is more important than our saviour Jesus, We can remember him everyday because his death freed us! Thank you God for your Son, He gives us eternal peace, One day we'll be in Heaven and our sufferings will cease.
