Judges: A Promised Deliverer 

The book of Judges records a dark and desperate time in Israel’s history. There was no king and everyone did as they pleased—with devastating results. But while Judges opens our eyes to the effects of disobedience and self-rule, it also shows a God who is faithful and persistent in his pursuit of rebellious people. It shows how he works above the chaos, confusion, darkness and despair, using weak and flawed people to accomplish his purposes. It shows that he is the sovereign God we can trust to fulfil his good promises to us.
