What does a team member do?

Preparing, cooking or helping to serve food either alone or as part of a team depending the size of the event. Anything from setting tables to organising and purchasing for large group events and weekends.
All team members would be required to undertake some form of food hygiene training, depending on the type of food handling they will be using. This will range from watching a simple short DVD, a more in-depth in-house training or doing an online Food Safety course.


Who would it suit?

Anyone at any age and stage of life, again depending on the scale of the event and what part of the event they feel able to do.
The larger events require people with good planning and organising skills who can work to timescales, and are able to lead a team of people effectively.


How is the role supported?

As advised above, relevant training will be provided, and additional mentoring support and information can be given for people who would like to try taking on a larger event.


When would someone be needed to serve?

There are various options - Fortnightly eg luncheon club, or one-off events eg weddings, church lunches
