The God of the Bible is a jealous God. His love is unrelenting. He pursues people with a passion and refuses to give us up to sin. That’s the message of Hosea. Israel had chased after other gods, were no different from the surrounding nations and deserved to be cast off by God, Yet God refused to turn his back on them. Instead, he called Hosea to be a living parable of his relentless grace to restore them. Today, God confronts and pursues us so that we might be restored in a relationship with him. God’s grace is stronger than our sin. It is relentless.
