We are pleased to welcome Japanese families living in and around Worcester, most of whom are in the U.K. for 3-5 years for work purposes. Our aim is to show the love and welcome of God to our Japanese friends, and we do this in various ways:
Every week in term time we run a class at church on Tuesday mornings from 10.30 - 12.00, sometimes eating lunch together afterwards. It’s a time for making friendships and increasing confidence in everyday English.
We meet on regular Thursday mornings at church from 9.30 - 11.15 to look at the Bible together and learn more about Jesus. You don’t have to know anything about God or the Bible to come, you would be very welcome to join us. We use bilingual materials to help understanding.
A few times a year we organize joint social events with the Oasis women’s group at church to help develop friendships and to enjoy learning about Japanese and British culture together.
We enjoy organising family social events on some weekends so that Japanese families can meet with church friends for fun and food and often a Bible talk in Japanese.
