This year there will be four seminar tracks running:
Equipped to Serve: Men’s Track
Leader: Andy Rees
Jordan Peterson the Canadian academic and popular speaker said the past 50 years of public discussion has been around rights and freedoms, whereas people are hungry to hear the connection between responsibility and meaning. He has a point, and unwittingly we can so quickly imbibe the spirit of the age when it comes to serving Jesus and his people. We’ll be thinking about what it looks like to serve Jesus “all in” as men with the unique responsibilities that entails. Come join us as we consider serving Jesus as “men of courage.” (1 Cor.16:13)
Equipped to Serve: Women’s Track
Leader: Carolyn Lacey
Serving Jesus and his church is an important part of discipleship but we often find it difficult. It can feel more like a burden than a privilege. In these seminars we’ll look at our motivation for serving, our goal in serving, and our reward for serving. Join us as we see how the gospel equips us to serve joyfully and sacrificially, despite our weaknesses.
Just Start Talking
Leaders: Duncan Cobbett / Richard Lacey
Many of us find that talking about Jesus is difficult and even discouraging. Using a mixture of DVD clips and small group discussion, Just Start Talking will encourage us to have greater confidence in pointing others to Jesus.
Note: this is a repeat of a seminar we ran two years ago. Spaces will be limited. Book your place here.
Servants of the Faith (School years 3 – 7)
In our children’s track we will look at three Christians of the past who served the Lord in amazing ways. Using the ‘Torchlighter’ series, we will watch a film about their life and then chat about it together.
Note: Upper age limit is flexible – please chat with AJ. Please book your child in here.
